SPICY FOODS KEEP YOU COOL

True or False? Is it true that eating hot foods keeps you cool in hot weather? It seems to work in other cultures - many Indian, Mediterranean and Mexican foods use spicy peppers and garlic. Hot foods do cause perspiration and the body will feel cooler as a result. Eating hot foods also stimulates the thirst to cool the palate and this is a good thing! Drink lots of water or low-sodium beverages and eat high potassium foods such as bananas, melon and spinach to keep cool and replace electrolytes lost in sweat. Summer is almost gone. Enjoy it with a variety of gastronomical delicacies!! Find recipes on www.pepperfool.com/recipe_home.html.
